Hi guys :)

I am glad that you guys started to finally make a KMPlayer more practical and less resource hungry, cleaning away unnecessary stuff from KMPlayer...

About the Box window, that opens whenever I start the KMPlayer (3.8.0.119)

Well it's still annoying as it opens every time I start KMPlayer, keeps resizing KMP window when plays music (it stretch KMP, need to manually resize it back), so user need to click "box" button in upper right corner everytime to close it.

Of course, if we block KMPlayer by Firewall it will not open that box window but then KMP starts to freeze to whole system sometimes.
And I don't want to block KMP with Firewall as KMP has great option to directly play YouTube videos when I insert an url into it.

Just a suggestion for future versions.

Running on the latest beta .119 but as far i can remember from a couple of builds now.. When i double click on a video for the first time, KMP loads like 5/7 seconds before start the play.. why?

I've already read all the post i've found on this kind of matter, removed plugin directory, tried superspeed,different videorender, filters,removed logo,plain skin.. all the same.

I've done the more or less same configuration to another player , same filters ecc. and it open in an istant.

Hello,

I just bought a 5.1 sound kit (Logitech Z906) and an Asus Xonar U7 sound card to go with it. The Asus Control Panel allowed me to test my speaker, and everything works and is where it should be.

But I have a problem : If I play the Dolby "Channel test" video on KMPlayer ( http://dl.demo-world.eu/download_dol...nnel_check.rar ), here is what I get :
- the Center channel can be hard on the Front Left and Front Right channels two
- the Rear Left channel can be heard on the Front Left speaker, too
- the Rear Right channel can be heard on the Front Right speaker, too

Strange thing is, if I play this video on VLC, everything works as intended (channels only audible on their respective channels).

Do you have any idea from where the problem comes ?
Or is it not a problem but a feature, to avoid hearing sound coming only from the Center or Rear speaker s? (I noticed on an extract of a movie that on VLC, voices came only from the Center Channel, which sounded weird, as if the voice came directly from the screen. The "KMPlayer version" was more... similar to what I'm used to with 2.1 speakers, with some spatialized effects added.)

Downloaded this version, kmplayer 3.8.0.119_20140128110040.exe, from Codecs.com and it is superb so far. I haven't found a problem yet. But when I downloaded the version from the News and Announcement (this webpage), Kmplayer 3.8.0.119 Unicode Beta 5, is very different from the 1st one above. It has also 2 bugs so far that I notice. When you open a video file and select/open the preferences, it will not show in front but in the back. Under Preferences/screen/custom screen position, you can still set the settings here but when these presets were selected under Pan Scan/window size position/ presets will not go where they were originallyselected.

Anyway, got the good version above and maybe remove the beta 5 in this webpage!

I have a NVIDIA card software (NVIEW) that adds commands to system menu of any window to send it to multiple monitors. It is very annoying KMPlayer does not obey those commands and refuses to move its window from one monitor to another. It works on almost any other application...

Hi.
I have a Pioneer 5.1 sound system. When I play any file which has DTS or Dolby Digital sound by KMPlayer (the latest version), my sound system does not detect the DTS or DD and it just gives out sound from the 2 front speakers, while when I play the very same files with the Power DVD 9 the sound system automatically detects the DTS or DD, shows their logos on its screen, and uses all the 5.1 channels to give out the original DTS or DD sound.
I tried to change the settings of my KMP as much as I could using the hints given in this forum or in other forums but none of them is working. Pressing TAB, the KMP shows 6 channels and DTS or Dolby Digital but what it gives to my receiver is a stereo 2-channel sound!
Since I really like to use KMPlayer because of its features, I would appreciate it if one could help me with this issue.

I don't understand what's happening, my other thread not show up. Here's a third attempt, I will just post content of other thread here...

I been using KMP for a few years now but I hadn't used it last few months and then when I went back to it, I noticed some videos, in particular high def ones, the sound is out of sync, in particular if I fast forward it. So like in very beginning it's in sync but then goes out. Then there are other videos that when I fast forward (like move the slider cause I don't like the first minute of a music video or something) a minute or longer, then the sound completely goes away, like totally mute. Moving the slider back to the beginning won't help. I have to actually close down KMPlayer and restart it and then the sound is back.

Then I came across this thread.

I tried what was suggested and the result is that 80% better synchrony (i.e. not all videos, and also the sound still goes out on other videos), but problem is that now it freezes at the end!

Hopefully this gets fixed asap. Global hotkeys for volume, next, pause, etc. are important to work.

There is a problem with the maximize button of the player.
In the previous versions the button would increase the size of full-screen viewing.
Is it workable through the settings or is this a bug?

Why when I regulate "contrast" the saturation video changes?

Another version and the same problems. Version 3.8.0.120.

Last version I had a problem with resuming playback. When played back the video/audio was dead slow. I used to be able to cure it by setting to high speed or super speed playback. Now you've fixed that so that nothing will speed the video back to normal. What's going wrong? I beginning to think that I should never update. What can I do to make the resumed playback get to normal speed?

Hi

I am wondering if its possible to enable to Seek preview for MKV files. I don't know if its actually supposed to work or not..I am guessing not, but it works on all other file formats. I am talking about the snap shots that appear when the mouse is on a specific spot on the seek bar.

when i open kmp 3.8 version a pop up massage appear says,"the requested resource is in use.".i dont know what the problem is,all plugin and patches are updated on my computer.other versions are ok.i think 3.8 version has something that conflicts with windows XP service pack 2.i tried other computer with service pack 2 installed,same problem

Hi guys

I don't understand why the color between 2 video players are so different. Before the color of KMP is the same as VLC, but it turn into darker since 2 or 3 latest update.

Is that a new feature of KMP??? How can I adjust it to the previous one???

  Justin Timberlake 720p HDTV x264-BAJSKOR

My "AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics" has
hardware acceleration for H264 and DirectX 9.

Playback/System Info:

The audio syncs with the video up until
Justin Timberlake's band starts playing.

Hello,

I'm using headphones equalization through the "VST Host DSP v1.0 for Winamp[dsp_vst.dll]".

It's all good with IIR eq, there's no delay between audio and video.
With FIR eq (linear phase) the delay of the audio track (100's of milliseconds) must be manually corrected in the "Audio/Video Sync Control".

Furthermore, the inherent delay of the audio processing is defined in samples rather than time. The effective time delay actually changes with sample rate.

So it would be convenient to apply the correct delay, in number of samples, and once for all.
