I was wondered, is there any way for KMP developers remove the Plus Tab in future versions since is really annoying and interfere with normal day playback...
I am sure you don't like it either.
I liked to previous versions, actually the last good and stable enough was version where KMP introduced Instant View.

RQ: Automatic charset detection for non-Unicode subtitles
Hi there.
I would like to request a simple feature - automatic charset detection for non-Unicode subtitles.
This can be easily achieved on Windows by using the DetectInputCodePage method in the IMultiLanguage2 interface exposed by MLang.dll. Here's a link:

Of course this method uses heuristics to determine the correct charset, so it might be off sometimes, especially if the text you give it is very short. But overall I've found it to work pretty well, I've used it in a subtitle editor application and it performs as expected.
One important tip - it will work better if you provide it with only the texts of the subtitles (without any style tags and without the timing parts and the rest of the additional lines many subtitle formats have), do not apply it to the entire file.
This is an important feature as most of the subtitles out there are still in non-Unicode code pages.
I hope you will include it soon as it is easy enough to implement with the DetectInputCodePage method.

Recommended type of passive 3D glasses
Hi!
I have just downloaded KMplayer and am therefore a newbie to the software. I have a LG 3D TV with passive polarised glasses. Works brilliantly. I also have a LG PC monitor - not 3D. The LG polarized 3D glasses don't seem to work with KMplayers row interlacing - guess I need a proper 3D monitor for that to work. I do have an old pair of cardboard red/green glasses that I got from somewhere and they work OK with the red/green screen choice, but the combined result is a grey, old black and white movie. No colours at all.
Are there any type of 3D glasses that you can recommend, that would give me a proper, clear, colour 3D image that could match the quality of the TV set? The Monitor is an LG Flatron M2780D, that is full HD (1080p). My graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti.

Pixelated playback
When I play, let say .avi files the picture is pixelated. I try all the renderers in KMPlayer options, but the problem persist. If I watch .mkv everything is OK.
That's what I am talking about. The first image is from KMPlayer, the second - from Windows Media Player. I also try the latest version of KMP and the result was the same. OS Win 7 Ultimate.

Player does not detect custom fonts?
I've installed several neat free fonts for my own use, and while DirectVobSub can detect and use these fonts for my subtitles, the KMPlayer is not. The font cannot be found under the "Subtitle Processing > Font Style > Primary" menu in the options.
This is a big problem when I'm watching lower resolution videos because DirectVobSub renders the subtitles in the same resolution as the videos, resulting in a blurry mess.
I would gladly appreciate any help...

No Subtitles No Matter What!
Ok guys this is getting absolutely infuriating. KMPlayer will not show subtitles on MKV containers remuxed from untouched blurays. VLC has no problem showing all the subtitles I added. But KMPlayer does not show them. No.matter.what. I've searched through the threads on this, I've tried every renderer, dozens of different settings combinations, and still nothing. This bug has gone unresolved in every single version since I started using it 6 months ago. I really love KMPlayer and don't want to have to use VLC or WMP... I don't understand why such a simple thing is so impossible.
Does anyone have any ideas besides the usual suspects I've spent the past hour trying?
Even Haali's renderer doesn't show them. It seems the problem is reading the text itself; subtitle explorer shows entries for all the time indecies, but the text column is always blank.

MKV File No Video has the sound
I tried watching a MKV formatted video but cannot see the video but can hear the sound. When you go to the time line you can see the still image of that time but when clicked.. no video a blank black screen appears.

Access violation at address 002E56BF in module 'KMPlayer.exe'. Read of address 00000000.
The same dialog i see when i stop playing any song/movie.
This started some builds ago, after 'aggressive' ads were added.

File association does not work with windows 8. I run kmplayer as an admin with uac off. When I choose all video and audio files and then apply to system, nothing happens. when I double click on mp3 or video files it does not open them with kmplayer
